Iliana Covarrubias
Pennsylvania State University

Iliana, the first-ever recipient of the Bravante Mothers’ Scholarship is now a rising sophomore at Penn State University. Iliana is a part of Dance Marathon and Alpha Delta Phi, continuing to do it all in school. She is studying to get a Pre-Law degree, with the ultimate goal of going to law school. 

Genesis Chavez
Fresno State University

A soon-to-be first generation college student, Genesis is a hard worker who does so with a quiet humility. While at RHS, Genesis took part in Redwood’s Advanced Orchestra while also taking an active interest in Law Enforcement thanks to RHS’s Explorer Program.

Genesis will be freshman at COS this fall with her eyes set toward transferring to a UC in two years. 

Rylee Solis
Long Beach State University

Rylee is a jack-of-all trades, taking on all sorts of challenges during a typical day. At RHS, Rylee was a sure-glove at second base for the Redwood Softball Team, a member of AVID, and volunteered regularly with both the SPCA and the TLC Senior Assisted Living Facility.

Rylee is headed to the coast this fall, as she will be a freshman at LBSU.
